The world is split into three major trading blocs. We Europeans, like it or not, have to find our place between the USA and the Far East.
The USA has big global brands supported by technical know-how and finance, such as Disney, Exxon, Coca-Cola.
The Far East, China in particular, has extremely low labour costs, low finance costs and a booming home market.
Europe has to find its place in this world. The "social contract” work model is being developed in Europe as a third way. Unless European business and organizations are uniquely competitive in some way we will not find our place.
