It is true that people who have studied for a long period of time have shown themselves to be able to postpone their reward from their work. This doesn’t mean they are missing the normal human needs however!

Professionals need to have satisfaction from their work like everyone else. They studied so they could follow their chosen profession and can be very difficult to motivate to carry out the tasks as you want them done.

By motivation we mean carrying out the tasks which, and in the way, their employer wishes.
